I have a very nice mid-80s Ishiwata touring frame which is serving me well. The only thing is, I'd love to have a front disc brake. If I had a 1-1/8" head tube, I could get a steel 'cross fork for only $50 from Nashbar, but seeing as I need a 1" fork, do I have any options?

Any tips on where to find it? I see that JensonUSA has some Dimension forks, but couldn't find a 1" with disc tabs. Thanks!

Good luck. Any chance are you a city bikes customer?

Thanks! Actually, when I go to a LBS, it's usually to Proteus in College Park, and sometimes to College Park bicycles. But I don't think I've bought anything larger than a patch kit or blinkie light from the LBS in a while!
