One of the best things to happen to cycling.:beer:

I'm ordering my first trials-specific bike, and I have already started the online clinic.

More and more confidence each day with balancing on my Gimp. Really cool for overall being a better cyclist.

So, who's with me?:D A little trials never hurt anyone (who avoids the 10ft. concrete gap):D :D :D

Very nice :), I'm still waiting to buy a trials bike... my Rockhopper is a bit clunky for trials I'll admit but the good thing is I need to smooth out all the tricks for them to be effective on the Rockhopper so I guess its good for learning.

Besides, I'm not ready for an ultralight, small trials bike, when I ride BMXs and try to manual I have to be extremely careful, they are just so easy to manual, no effort needed :p

trials is great. even if you're not doing insane gaps and drops, the effort required to balance and move the bike how you want it to move is good practice and also improves your skill and confidence while riding regularly. at least that's what i felt it did for me. plus, it's the only type of riding where i can be entertained for hours at a time staying in one spot.

i built up an 04 zoo pitbull...before the high bottom bracket craze. much more expensive than buying a complete bike but i love it. i can only do the small stuff....rear wheel hopping, pedal kicks, small gaps, etc. too chicken to try the big stuff for now.

Why? Learning's not as hard as you'd think.

I'm planning on going trials for a while. I really love it. My Trek Jack is going to be converted into a street trials bike. For now, it's going to have a short 70 mm travel InSync Grind fork(very low end, comes on the 04 trek 4100.) It's going to be a short time thing, until I get a job and muster up the cash for a full blown trials bike. I was looking at the Onza T-rex spec 2 tonight, and wow, huge bang for the buck.

dude trials has made my xc riding so much better. many-a-time have i had to track stand either to pick a line or wait for my partner to get out of the way.

if only i weren't a broke soon-to-be college student, id have my bike by now. progress is started to get hard on my xc bike. congrats man.
