Yesterday, after shopping around for 5 days going to every bike shop in Edmonton riding at least 50 bikes, I picked up a 2006 Specialized Enduro! It feels amazing! I think he means "fork and shock" pump. a pump for both rear and front shocks.

Thanks for the complements guy! In the end it cost me $2350 CND...I'm about to leave for it's first test ride:D
And yeah I meant a pump for the forks/shock Jason, not anothing fork sadly. Over time when parts break I'm gonna turn it in the expert or better!

You know your supposed to take pictures of the bike with the drivetrain facing the camera... That's why they put the labels on that side of the tires. I guess your proud of the hydros, I would be too.
also make sure to set your watch to 10:10 before photographing

Huh I never knew I'll take some more pics sometime and put it in the "My Rig" thread. And whats with the 10:10 thing? Maybe I'm and idiot and it when right over my head!
Went on a test ride today...DAMN! It's freakin awesome...climbs awesome...decends awesome...even jumps awesome! I didn't have enough air in the rear shock so it had a bit to much sag but that'll be fixed tomorrow. Barely has any pedal bob uphills and none when cranking away on flats. I'm actually really impressed with the Fox DHX3.0 in the back really nice and plush. Only complain I have at the moment is I wish it had at least 150mm in the front, but I'll just updrage once it breaks!

I think you can send that fork to Marzocchi and have them upgrade it to 150 mm.

Oh, just a word of warning. Keep an eye out on that blackspire chainring gaurd. The lower pulley hangs really low and forward. It's the last thing that get's bashed over an obstacle before the rear tire hooks up so it loosens up after a few hard rides. Just be sure to loctite it when it loosens up the first time. No biggie.

Ok, thanks for the warning...I'll keep an eye on it!

the ziptie is to see hwo much travel you're using, or you can use it to measure sag while setting up your bike.

You ought not be so judgemental when you have such a limited realm of experience.
Defiance
08-21-06, 05:55 PM
It just looked like the ziptie was being used to tie up the brake line, and say the fork bottoms out and the brake line could get pinched or bent or something.
You ought not be so judgemental when you have such a limited realm of experience.
Then please, what is your recommendation for a place to tie up the brake line?
DylanTremblay
08-21-06, 05:59 PM
Yeah the ziptie is only there for a bit till I get the right sag and air pressure in the fork for my kind of riding...I think I got it down finaly but couple more runs and a few tweaks and it will be perfect!

Sweet. Is it infact holding the brake line or do my eyes fail me?

If your realm of experience wasn't so limited you wouldn't ask that question.

No its not holding the brake cable. Weird angle kinda makes it look like that.

Hank, I have no doubt that you know what you're talking about, but your bad reputation would get much better if you used that intelligence to help people. You're not very nice otherwise. My realm of experience is limited, and I hope to change that, and we've all got to learn sometime. You did, gastro did, and everyone else did. I'm sure you had much more respect for the people that helped you then the people that tried to insult you.

You're assuming that I care about what you think of me. Your bad.
You could avoid these situations if you refrained from posting about subjects that you are particularly uninformed about.

Just a little side note here. I don't know much and never tried to fool others by pretending I do. Hank has helped me in the past as well as the NC guys and LowCel among others. None of them have been rude to me.
I myself have tried to not hurt anyone's feelings on here but there are times when you and Jason got together and ganged up on me, Pheard and some noobs. Not to be a brat but......
Welcome to my world. :(

I'm just going to end this before it starts.
How bizarre.
You already "started it" when you gave out horrible advice based upon a fundamental lack of knowledge about mountain biking.
If you want to avoid more embarrassment, heed my advice and resist the apparently overwhelming urge that you have to post about subjects about which you know very little.
Good luck.

True, everyone does have to learn but your tone did not convey that...if you had left out your second line, your question would have been answered and you would have learned something.

Then I appoligize for that. My mistake was due to the fact that it looked like that the brake line was being held by the ziptie. I was corrected, and I did learn something then but I have not gone back to my misinterpretation of the image and I think it's unfair for Hank and others to hang on that.

Do you think someone could explain the ziptie thing to me? I mean how is it measureing your travel? does the fork push it up to where the travel ends when you hit bumps or what? thanks guys. Oh ya that bike is so awesome. I defantly like the 06's better than the new 07's (ick)
