Mountain Biking - SS Norco Rival
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You've got to get a chain tensioner and single speed kit. Your lbs can give you pointers.

It's ridiculously easy to set up a geared bike for SS. You can go to your LBS, or order a conversion kit from Misfit http://www.misfitpsycles.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/25_38/products_id/31 and DIY. Don't bother getting a new SS-specific chain ring, as your existing ring will work with either a BMX or std. chain. In fact, you don't really need a BMX chain, but I don't want to start a big debate over that.
Also, be prepared to walk some hills until you get stronger, since you can't gear down [obviously]. Good luck!
