I need suggestions on good training device, preferably one that measure heart rate and tracks distance. I've heard a little about the Garmin Forerunner 305 and would like some feedback about the watch. Thanks.
I went with the Polar CS200cad, $149 from the LBS. Great features for the $$, exercise time, avg HR/max HR (you set your own limits for a workout zone if you want), time in/above/beow your "zone", kcalories burned, trip distance, avg speed/top speed, avg cadence/max cadence. Also has lap functions, odometer (can use on 2 bikes), time/date, stores prior workouts (8 total, I think). I love mine, no probs w/interference...only had to change the batt once.
Hi,
are you on a training program? What are your goals? What is your budget?
Are you willing to deal with a complex device, or do you want something easy to use?
You can get a good, basic HRM and speedometer to fill your needs. The important thing is to have a good workout program you can use them with.
