I used to ride junk bikes but about a year ago I bought a Trek mountain bike and I love it! I live in Illinois, north of St Louis. I'm an old geezer (51) who likes riding around in the countryside.

Welcome to BF, (bike forums), sknhgy. You will find a ton of information on moutain biking and since your an old fart, check out the 50+ section. I'm also in my 50's and I used to mountain bike quite a bit in Lake Tahoe, Ca back in the early 80's. Now I'm a day tourer on paved roads only. Welcome aboard.
