Foo - When can we search again?

Not sure if this is a repost since I can't search for similar threads. Anyone know when the search option is coming back? I'm tired of checking everyday.

Totally not criticizing -- I don't have a star and am a moocher -- but Wednesday I wanted to search the archived knowledge for bike info for a friend of mine. I couldn't search and was sad.

But then I realized google could kinda search for me, so it was ok.

If it's taking up too much server brain, sorry man...

We will tell you when search comes back. Untill then there weill be no more discussion, understood? :mad:






Something with the search is crashing the server, Joe has decided to disable the search function untill the problem is solved. He's hoping to have it back up soon. Pass it on. :)

Something made me think it was disabled because it slows down the server. Simply put, Joe is running out of money. With the number of members that join it puts a strain on the system and something had to be sacrificed.

Not to be a brat but if we had more red stars that would greatly help. I figured $25 for a 32 year membership puts it at 78 cents per year. Not bad considering all of the great info we get from here, the cool people we meet and all of the laughs that pull us through a hard day at work......:)

I sent joe 40 bucks for my star. Not that I think everybody else should give extra like that, but with as much bsing as we all do here, I think those of us that can afford it should donate.

See? Even Michigander is an okay guy........(hey you're not so bad after all...considering all the fights we get into) ;)

But like a real family, we always make up.............:p ((hugs))

Here's a work around for searching BF. Use Google.

For example, go to Google and type "merton site:bikeforums.net", and see what comes up.
