General Cycling Discussion - "The future is now"... too bad it isn't

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just caught last year's released "The Time Machine" on DirecTV earlier today and in one scene, our time traveller arrives in the year 2030 where it seems everyone was riding bikes. An electronic billboard displayed an ad proclaiming that "The future is now". It seemed like such a great vision until you get to the next scene in the movie which occurs 7 years afterwards where you find out that Man has accidently blown the moon out of orbit in an attempt to build a colony. |8^)
A guy could dream! (except for that whole moon thing)
I quite enjoyed that movie. It deviated quite a bit from the short, but still very entertaining nonetheless. Then again I am a total sci-fi geek. :p
