What's the widest tire anyone has been able to put on a Bianchi Volpe (2006)?

I had a 1999 Volpe up until about a year ago. I had 700x32 tires on that bike, and I had room for a wider tire. Should be good up to 700x35. Any wider than that, and I'm just not sure.
