Against my better judgment I bought a used suspension fork. It leaks oil when the trail turns rough. Do you think all I need to get are new seals? Or does leaking oil indicate a bigger problem in which case it wouldn't be worth it to fix the fork. thanks.

What make and model fork? Some of the earlier Rock Shock fork models are no longer supported by their manufacturer.

I've got an older Boxxxer that leaks oil like crazy, and the O-rings and seals have all been replaced before. I've heard that's pretty common on these forks and to just top up the oil after every ride or 2.

Rebuilding an oil bath fork is a pice of cake. Parts should readily be available for an 03. I rebuilt a 96 Bomber last year that was leaking badly.

what's typically covered in a "rebuild"? is it simply to replace the bushings? I wouldn't mind spending $20 on Enduro Seals, but anything more then I'd probably want to get a new fork.

The enduro fork seals are excellent, I have them on my SID. The internals are spotless, and no oil anywhere. Enduro fork seals are cheaper than the stock RS seals too. I'de say fix it, the duke is a good fork.
