Touring - touring with a skateboard?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know this might be a long shot but I am touring up the pacific northwest coast and as you may or may not know it is home to some of the sweetest skateparks in the country. It would be heartbreaking to have to just ride past them so I was wondering if anybody has ever carried a board with them on tour and how they did it.thanks.

That sounds rad. Maybe you could find a smaller old school board?

Slightly off topic but did you know that someone did the entire C&O canal on a skateboard? Considering iit is not paved, I like to see how it was done. Carrying a board seems to be easy, it's flat, just secure to the rear rack first, the place your other stuff on top of it.

The C&O canal is an unpaved trail that follows the Potomac River in Maryland. Someone did the entire thing riding a modified skateboard.
I wonder if anyone has actually ridden across the United States exclusively on a skateboard?

How are you going to mount the rack and panniers on the skateboard.
