Advocacy & Safety - Seattle International Bike Expo (March 1&2)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The post about toronto reminded me that the Seattle Bike Expo is also this weekend at the Seahawks Exhibition Center. Only $7! come see me! I'm working Saturday afternoon at the BBTC club station.

You'll have to let us know how this went. I had planned to go, filled out a volunteer form even - nobody contacted me. Further, I've heard it's lame. If they've gotten their act together, kick me for being a negative creep.

I too had intended on going but after looking at the event info, I decided against it. Although it looks like FSA had a booth, I was also hoping for a showing from K2 (hey... they're local), Shimano, Campagnolo, Trek, and others. Curiously enough, I saw that Cannondale was listed as having a booth. Seems like a good sign for them. No? Also good to see that one of the local Ti frame manufacturers was there but it wasn't enough of a draw for me to give up my saturday riding (we had good weather that day). I guess I could have gone on sunday when it was raining.

The trials riding was fun to watch, and testing a tandem was kinda fun, but IMO it weren't worth no $7. But I suppose I shouldn't complain, relatively speaking--$7 was about 1/500th the cost of the average bike I saw there!
