I have an old 1985 (but beautiful) Dura Ace 7400 headset which is minus the crown race. It is for a threaded 1" oldskool fork. Does anybody know what I can use to replace the crown race? I called Shimano and they said there were no interchangable parts. Does anybody have an idea about what I should look for regarding the replacement crown race?

Try Bike tools Etc. and Loose Screws.

The Dura-Ace 7400 uses larger ball bearings than most. The common size is 5/32" and I think the DA is 3/16" (I have one in my bike but I don't remember the size exactly - just know they're larger than 5/32"). There may not be a crown race from another headset that will work.
edit: The Ritchey Logic headset uses 3/16" balls on the bottom. maybe that crown race will work.

Are you looking for a 26.4 ISO or 27.0 JIS?

An email to "5107coelho" may provide what you are looking for.
He has some oldish DA headset parts for sale and his stock turns over regularly.
