i dabbled in rumi's poetry throughout the year, but last night finally got myself a book of coleman barks' translations. and ... wow. i don't adhere myself to any one religion, but his words i think have the ability to reach out to anyone. there is an amazing depth to his simplicity, and barks' commentary along the way is incredibly insightful. definitely a great read to pick up again and again :]
