I go with Cytomax because it's cheaper than most. (don't know if it's better).

Anyone know of a good website that does "serving to serving" comparison, I can't find one.....

It all depends on if your racing,on how far your riding.20 mile rides and gator aid works fine for me.

Cytomax, especially the flavors with the herbal lift formula (tangy orange and grape).

BTW, Tim, since you only gave two choices in the poll, you are only asking for the better of those two, not the best. It's an add poll since I see Cytomax in most bike shops that emphasize road cycling. Do you think I like this product? ;)

I use Cytomax, water, or PowerAde for rides, Endurox R4 or Joe Friel's homebrew (16oz. skim milk w/5 tablespoons sugar) after hard rides. Never tried G-Push.

I tried Accelerade, but didn't care for it. It's supposed to be better for long efforts, containing protein, but I felt it wasn't as good as others after 50 miles or so. On centuries, after drinking it all day, then taking a swig of the stuff from a hot bottle would almost gag me.

My dentist told me not to drink Gatorade or any of it's imitators. They are just overpriced acidic sugar water. The acid breaks down your tooth enamel and the sugar sits in there and causes cavities.

Seems to me the two listed drinks aren't endurance or energy drinks but recovery drinks.

I was having hard time keeping supplied with energy drinks and for about 3 months now am just using fresh juices together with bananas. Except for the "kick" from a good energy bar i don't see any difference in juice as opposed to say Extran. And the price difference is conciderable. I ride regularly 2-6 hours with juice now.

Personally, I have tried the Endurox but it is more of a recovery drink than a endurance drink that you take during your rides. It is very good and you have my word for it, it makes me feel a lot better and I don't think it is a placebo effect as I can really feel my heart rate recovering better and getting more ready for the next workout.

Go for it, even if you just want to try it. The taste is not exactly good but after a workout, it tastes great!!! If you want, I believe you can eat it in the powder form but do remember to drink some water. It tastes GREAT!!!

Cytomax Meal Replacement before and Excercise and Recovery during. It works well for me.

Cytomax is the one for me also! It sits better with my stomach and seems to help for a longer period of time.

Mighty Mouse lives! I mix my Cytomax on a worktable in the garage. Well, sometimes a little bit of the mix will miss the water bottle and land on the table. I guess I didn't clean it up two days ago: Yesterday, when I went to mix, I noticed that the area was very clean except for some mouse droppings. Picture a mouse on all those sugars and guarana! I guess the mouse likes the grape flavor, like me.

Shaklee Performance has been the best endurance sports drink for me. I have more sustained energy and stay hydrated better.

An annoyance tid-bit about Accelerade...

When you mix it, it's really foamy. Normally I put mix in bottle, add water to w/in an inch or two of the top, then shake and top off. Accelerade foams like beer! You either have to wait 5 minutes for the foam to collapse, or fill and flush the foam out with water. It just bugged me.
