General Cycling Discussion - Rhoades Car
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have read a bit about the Rhoades Car recently. It sounds like a viable source of transportation. They say it is street legal; not that legal means safe.
Has anyone had any experience with said vehicle?

the perfect vehicle when the family comes to town...
I like the "Your advertisement here" sign on top.

You just like the optional fuel tank in the middle to run your engine! ;)

Man, I would try anything just for the fun of it. I don't care what people think about me pedalling down Main Street in a Rhoades Car. I might enjoy the attention as much as the fun.
For now, I have to restrict my cash outflow to more immediately practical things (like stuff for my bike.)
Did you notice, they mentioned the Rhoades Car was like a recumbent in some ways? Everyone should try a recumbent once. (I'm going to get the best recumbent I possibly can, someday!)

Yes that's a cool machine, but how much does that thing weight????

Yeh, it might be faster if everyone pedalled.
