Just watched the movie 2 Seconds about a Montreal mtb racer turned messenger. While there's lots of footage of her riding her FS around, a few things caught my eye. First, she unclips weird (at least to me). She unclips both feet at the same time then put her legs down and out when she stops. Either that or she tips over alot in the movie. Secondly, the flashback to the pro road racer shows him mashing and not spinning even though he's on the flats. Maybe it was windy. Another thing is when the bike shop owner is lacing a wheel, he doesn't put spoke prep on the threads nor does he turn each spoke nut the same amount of times. And there's a few scenes where the principal cyclists aren't showing good form.
There were some funny scenes and overall, and it's a good independent movie. Probably the best scene is where the young racer and the old LBS owner are trading off on who hurts more (actually kind of hilarious cuz of the sexual dysfunction of the woman and the owner's reaction). And of course the scene where the girl pulls her pants down and sits in a wash basin full of ice water after her first day as a messenger is also good. It's all in French Canadian w/ English subtitles so I'm sure I missed a lot.
Anyone else seen this movie?
