is it possible to convert my single speed road bike into somewhat of a cyclocross bike? i really jsut want to make it easier to go off road a little. and im a little light in the wallet area btw.

Need more info on your road bike. Could be there is not sufficient clearance for knobbies.

its a track bike form the little 500 at indiana university. ill just have to take it to the LBS. but knobbies would be all i need?

I'm into my Road bike conversion to CX build for about $50 so far. (Including bike) See link below.

I've removed the 53 inch chainring since the pictures and have a line one some bar end shifters for $15. The only future investment might be a CX fork with Canti brakes. I've seen some used ones on eBay go for +/-$30
