Our City's Bike/Ped Coordinator is leaving her position. I have a feeling this type of job doesn't come open very often. I wish I was qualified to apply:

But there is a requirement for a class 'C' drivers license.

And no requirement to be able to function as a pedestrian.
Alison did a great job from all I can tell. I'd apply for the job if I still lived down there (city planner, grew up in Durham, and I DO ride a bike). I hope you get someone good!

Yes, and Alison rode her bike to work frequently. I should also mention that there is a bike and ped commission here that this person has to work with. It is full of people who are quite passionate about these issues, so an engineer who didn't share some of that passion probably wouldn't work out.
