Mountain Biking - Cycling shoes for Bigfoot

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Does anyone else here have a shoe size _above_ 15 (Euro size 50)? I'd like to experience cliplessness, but am having a hard time finding anyone making bike shoes above size 46 or 48. A few manufacturers have size 50, which, alas, is at least one size too small for me.
Sidi is the only company I've found after a fair amount of online checking. Some of their shoes are available up to size 52. Does anyone here know of any other companies? I'd like to have a choice of more than one brand, but maybe that's too much to ask.
Damn dude... you've got some clod-stompers for sure!!! I wear a 46... and I thought that was pretty big :o

sidi is pretty dam good when it comes to shoes. I wouldn't worry about other options and get them. I have a pair of Sidi Bullets and they're awesome

Sidi is it. I have the same issue and have looked high and low...And yes cycline shoes are made small so you will need a 51 or 52...
Good luck...maybe try specialize I have heard rumours of bigger shoes there.

A search on Google a couple of days ago turned up a firm that custom-builds cycling shoes. The cheapest ones start at around $350. as I recall. I don't recall the company's name.
Note to any future big-footed readers of this thread: I wear a size 16 (US) and ordered the Sidi Dominator 4 Megas in size 52. (The Megas are "extra" wide.) They just arrived today. They fit well, though I haven't yet tried them on an extended ride. I can tell that the size 51 would have been too snug.
