View Full Version : Alternative Way To Eat Protein Powder
I have come up with a way to eat protein powder and it actually tastes good.
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup of raw oatmeal
1/4 cup of honey
2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
put all of the above in a bowl and mix with a spoon. I then put it in a small plastic container and put in the fridge. After it gets cold, I cut it up in small squares like fudge. To me, it tastes like those oatmeal no bake cookies.

Be sure to drink lots of water with that because it sounds like it would cement your digestive system shut!
I have found that the taste of protein powder highly varies between brands. Search my forum "Choking Down Whey" and you will see many great ideas for mixing it in shakes. A new brand I have been introduced to tastes so good I could eat the powder plain. Thanks again for the great idea!
I've been happy with Isopure after trying what they had at my gym and various 'Designer Whey' flavors. The isopure mixes really well and is relatively flavorless...

Sounds good alright, but I would get fat on that stuff.
I'd be tempted to eat the whole batch out of the frig
with a giant spoon. Then too, wouldn't that stuff melt
if you were gonna take it out on a ride?
I will stick with my 3 a day whey protein smoothies with
skim milk and drink Endurox or Gatorade on my rides
for hydration. See http://www.wheyoflife.org for details
on the many health and fitness benefits of whey protein
powder. I live on the stuff and am healthier today than
any time in my 55 years, despite the inevitable effects
of aging.

I try a lot of different whey protien powders, and they all taste pretty good to me. I remember back in the 80's, protien powders tasted like ass. I remember there was a product called "Hot Stuff", I used to gag trying to choke that stuff down.
