General Cycling Discussion - Anyone order from Bikeophile.com?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I ordered a new stem from bikeophile.com on 8/12 and the order is still listed as "pending." I've emailed bikeophile and have not yet received a response. I know bikeophile is a member on here and has posted about his site before. Has anyone had an issue with them before?
If I don't get some sort of response soon I'm going to have to cancel my friggin order.

Just cancel it.
I'm going to email him one more time and if he doesn't respond I'm canceling the order. Oh well, spread the word that bikeophile sucks.
Anyone find some really nice quill stems online along the likes of the 3T Mutant and Cinelli Frog?
I had roughly the same experience ordering tubes from (I think) allaboutbikes.com, or something like that. The stuff (tubes) did finally get here, but I'm now gunshy about anyone small enough* they have to use paypal to process orders.
*Exception - Wallinfgord uses paypal, but they also give a real phone number with a person on the other end to take your order.

We'll I've learnt my lesson as well. Unfortunately it's not over yet. Bikeophile has no way to cancel orders on their site and they only list an email which of course he isn't responding to. Now I've gone through paypal and filed a dispute. If he doesn't respond to that I guess I'll have to turn it into a claim. What a way to run a business.
