Let's play a game!:D

Write a bit of trivia, and whoever gets the answer right asks a new question. The personn with most right answer wins...the usual no-prize!:D

Let's begin...

The most copied house in America was owned by who? What was the name of the house?

(Okay, that's two questions for two points):)

The log cabin. Pa Engalls.
When are you moving to Oregon?

Poppaspoke

Wild guess: Monticello owned by Jefferson.

Who said: "Don't look back, something may be gaining on you."

w00t! I live for this stuff...OK, I tried to make this a medium-esque question.

Queen Victoria's panties were sold at a British auction in 1979. How much did they go for (in British pounds)?

Serendipper
08-23-06, 05:35 PM
Let me guesstimate...675 p?

Eboo
08-23-06, 05:36 PM
Too high :)

Serendipper
08-23-06, 05:41 PM
O00ooo...it's not on Google, either.:D Dang.

Eboo
08-23-06, 05:42 PM
I'm a librarian! You think I'd give you something you could google?? :)

...at least easily...

If people are guessing...how can they know they got it right to put up the next trivia!!

For the record all.....my sweet Eboo will KICK OUR ASSES at this game....but that's why I love her! ;) :D

Name the only Super Bowl MVP that played on the losing team.

I award you one point for having the correct answer.

I take away one half point for being presumptuious enough to post your trivia before being acknowledged the winner.

Also: Chuck Howley of the Dallas Cowboys is the only SuperBowl MVP (SuperBowl V) that played for the losing team. He was also the first defensive player to win the award.

Somebody needs to come up with a new question.

Eboo
08-23-06, 07:36 PM
Ha...no, I'm playing by Serendipper's rules and waiting to be acknowledged by VegasVic as right. I don't want to lose points for presumptuiousness.

Eboo

Eh, forget it, I'll take the point hit. I have a super good one that will not be googled by the faint of heart. It will also be worth two points.

What is the product that was super hyped as the It?

ok...this librarianista needs to get her shut eye. I'll have a superfun question in the morning! It will have to do with farm animals. Behave.

Eboo

OK...are you ready for mooooore?

How many bones are their in a cow's body? (extra points if you can also tell me what the record is for milk produced in a year by one cow in pounds)

I will be more specific. Bos Taurus, the common cow, has a specific number of named bones in their bodies. 205 is not that number.

Wag - 207?

Eboo

Wag - 207?

Right-o! Good for one point :) BTW: The greatest amount of milk produce in one year was 59,298 lbs by a Holstein cow named Robthom Suzet Paddy.

Your turn, Zorro.

Mine will be about - bicycles.

In which year's catalog did the Raleigh SuperCourse transition from a model with all European componentry, to a redesigned model with an abundance of Japanese componentry?

<edit - it was the horns wasn't it Eboo?>

< edit 2 - I spend a fair amount of time in the Classic & Vintage Forum (hint) >

Sorry for being slow. Because of gaps in the archives, I will accept either one of two years, but 1975 is not one of them.

1974 Ftw!

Not 1980, and certainly not 1863. I'd have to ask the contest administrator about extra points for humor jsharr. :)

Gaaah. Not 42 either. I don't care what that silly book says.

I think I could provide you with the links and you'd still come back with silly responses.
