Hello all. I returned from my first tour a few months ago (2 months through France, England, Wales, Ireland) and loved it so much that I have to go out again. I need the road!!! I need to embrace my youth (i'm 23) before i get too tied down to do so! SO here's my plan:
-start in Upstate NY October 5'ish
-Head south (atlantic coast'ish)
-do the southern tier (during winter)
-Head north to Seattle by April/May'ish
-trans-am it for a bit (just through those amazing parks/mountains/canyons out west.)
-then go north and hit Minnesota (lots of relatives there!)
-then come back through the northern tier/Canada.:o
NONE of My routes are set in stone so if anyone has ideas regaurding path, I'm open!
I've taken a look at those adventure cycling maps and can't spend that much money on something i can roughly figure with a AAA map...i think that's a lot of the fun too....seat of the pants style!
I will also have to stop somewhere along the way and work (i will only have about $2000 to get me started). I think my major concern is that my head has been way too in the clouds to be practical about this thing. I'll be stealth camping most...if not all the way, and i'm VERY low maintenance.
I'm looking for suggestions/input/critiques/job opportunities (haha...but seriously)??? I suppose i want someone to bring me down to earth with this thing without saying it's a bad idea:( This is my vision-quest...i hope this all makes sense and thank you in advance for your input.
