Hi,

I have an old classic steel framed bike (from 89) I'm thinking of getting repainted. Ideally, I'd love to get the original paint job redone, including the decals. I've contacted the builder (who's no longer building frames). I doubt he'll have any left so that brings me here.

What options exist to get these decals recreated? Is this something commonly done or even possible? Is thre a company that does this. I have photo's of the old decals, heck the frame has the decals currently, but has enough dings and knicks that I'd like to refresh the old girl. Looking for any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Francis

You might try sending a PM to mswantak, bike forum member who posts often in the Classic and Vintage forum. He's started a business doing this type of thing, and there have been numerous posters in C and V who praise his work. He's reported having production problems lately, so I'm not sure what the current status is-

Here is a link to someone I've used several times. I use her mainly for paint masks, but she also reproduced a set of Miyata decals. I provided her with digital pictures and sizes and they turned out spot on. Very easy to work with.

I'm not really up on this sort of stuff but I believe Cyclart does/has quite a few repros.
