Southern California - Hola boys and gurls!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
We're officially addicted to Bike Forums! After failing to find a wireless connection at Las Gaviotas, we scored here...somewhere between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo. We were getting tacos from the taco stand and looked up to find an internet cafe. Our husband's rolled their eyes as we scurried away, leaving them on the side of the road with six starving children. We figured you guys were worth $2!
We're having a great time and if we can sneak away, we'll check in again! Lots of pictures to share when we get back. Miss you all!

I must say this is the most pathetic thing I've ever read here. Stop it!
And ignore the Jersey thread.

What do you mean? I was talking about OC Roadie contemplating the Oct 14 hill climb!
For the record, in the original Labor Day ride thread, the Aug 27 ride was always 1955's ride. I was just helping to facilitate things by starting a new thread for him over here.

Brandy and Tiff should have driven through the nice beachfront neighborhoods where all the gabachos reside for free wifi connection...:D

Don't worry, contemplation is over:) I do need to remember to write that date on my wife's calendar, it's always best to do that when she's not around. Then around October 7th, I can bring it up and say "it's been on your calendar for like a month and half";) This time around there's no pie to bring home as a bribe:p

So that's how married life works! I'll have to keep that in mind for someday when I'm married.

that's how it works when the other 1/2 isn't as much into cycling! on the other hand.... we have a calendar the "I" fill out with all the organized rides that "I" want to do for the year... and poor hubby has to get up in the middle of the night to drive me to! http://www.smileycons.com/img/magic/133.gif

I think it's "married with kids" :)
We have a family calendar, and it is booked solid.
Wow, you found an internet cafe between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo? I couldn't find one when I was in Puerto Nuevo last month. Only things I found were damn good lobster, the neighbor's house (it was a giant topless mermaid), and the gigantic statue of Jesus.

Went to Puerto Nuevo a couple of weeks ago with a friend, and did see the gigantic Jesus statue. Oh, and had the fabulous lobster, though not at the most popular place there. 2 hour waits for lunch suck. Topped it off with a Padres game at Petco Park in a suite. Good times.

WE ARE NOT PATHETIC!!! :D
We're on a tamale run right now. :) Checking back in!!! We've seen Jesus, picked up some live lobster from Puerto Nuevo for tonight's surf and turf dinner, haven't been able to hijack a wifi connection, and have been enjoying our tequila and malibu rum drinks. :D
We picked up some yummy fresh ceviche from the merchant who comes here on Saturday mornings and will be munching down tamales and shrimp cocktail for lunch. Mmmmmmmmmm.
We'll check in again soon!!!
Brandy and Tiff, glad you're having fun. :)

HI brandy!
Hi!!!!! I'm back and I have pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. We may or may not be in various stages of intoxication in some of them. :D
You can see all 400+ pictures here. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclemama/sets/72157594256152052/)
I don't think that you were drinking the proper amount of (alcoholic) fluids while in Mexico... I say this because you were holding the camera the entire trip... great photos!

LOL...I just have a steady hand. ;) We actually did really well! We had a specific strategy of drinking all day and keeping a healthy buzz that sometimes crossed over into drunkenness (is that a word?) but we were able to avoid hangovers with late dinners and decent bedtimes. I can't even venture to guess how much alcohol we went through. It was a lot!
I tried to take this picture with the self timer, but I was too buzzed to work the camera properly. Luckily some nice guy walking by offered to help us out...
