Ran across this over on the road cycling forum. I plugged in what I think is the "big hill" on the upcoming Auburn Century. I think this is a pretty cool site. http://routeslip.com/routelist.php?country=United%20States&state=CA&city=Colfax,%20CA

Very cool. I see that there are actually two routes logged that go in front of my house that were posted by a local team member.I live on the Great River Trail along the Mississippi river in Illinois and there are many good rides. You can jump of the trail and create numrable rides to suit your taste for the day.

I use RouteSlip to mark a few of my local favorites. The big plus to the product is that it the owner listens to people and has made many enhancements. The downside, there are a few bugs, though he fixes them pretty quickly. A few days ago I created a route of an upcoming century and it didn't save properly. Arrrg - lots of work for naught. However he has told me he fixed the problem....

It has some potential, it does not seem to snap the route to the closest road so you have to put together a lot of points which seems tedius to me. Unless of course I am doing somthing wrong. It would also be nice if it could just read a .gpx file so you could import routes from other systems, devices etc.

I noticed in IE there where some zooming problems. I like the google ped better as it gives distance and mile markers, but better than nothing and elevation may be clearer.
