Small red Huffy with streamers, basket and trainning wheels. 4 - 5 years old
Blue Huffy with spoke beads and for some reason, flat bars on a BMX bike (?). 5 - 9 years old
Some no-name MTB that I found on the road with north bars. 9 - 12 years old
Specialized BMX with a nice pair of FSA cranks. No brakes. 12 - still have it.
Old Raleigh Grand Prix. Converted a year after I got it. 16 - still have it.
Puch 130 (dumpster find). Converted right when I got it. 17 - still have it.
Bianchi Pista Concept. About to be with Mavic rims laced to Dura-Ace HF 7600 (thank you Kyle). 19 - 20 (present).
Right now i'm saving to build up my Concept and buy a road bike. Don't know what kind though. Thinking a Cannondale that my friend might sell me for around $300.
Some walmart bike, then a dyno vfr, then nothing for a long time, then I got a fisher xcaliber mtb, then a raleigh rushour which is my current bike.

my very first bike was some sort of bmx with a coaster brake. i would spend whole days on that thing. i lived in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by dirt roads and wheat fields. i'd ride for miles, have skid comps with my friends, ride wheelies and wreck. ah, it was fun.
moved to philly and i just didn't see anywhere to ride a bike, since i was so used to wide open spaces. eventually lived outside philly in a house next to a big field whose owners let local kids play in it. then i got a trek mountain track. my friends and i would play tag on our bikes. sometimes we'd play where only "it" got to ride the bike. that's when people got hurt. it was sort of fun.
then no bike, no bike...finally moved to portland and rode a bike that had been stolen from a friend, who was able to re-steal it. i don't know what sort it was; i saw the name maybe once because we promptly covered the bike in stickers and paint to disguise it from the crackhead who stole it. wasn't mine, but i rode it.
eventually decided in needed a road bike, a schwinn le tour. pretty solid as le tours go, at least in the frame. the brakes and derailers were crapping out by the end. i wanted to convert it, but couldn't afford the wheelset. i then moved, and it wasn't worth the cost to transport it. *sniff*...the bike whose eventual jankiness led me to desire a fixed gear...
i was also given a raleigh that needed some fixing to turn into a grocery getter. again, not worth the cost of transport.
purchased a specialized allez which was a fun bike. i took many long rides in the mountains outside boise on that thing. but when i moved back to portland, i wanted to work up to the velodrome and saw a bianchi pista (with upgraded parts) on craig's list. the poster wanted to sell the bike in order to buy a road bike. so we met up and traded. he and i are friends now, both messengers in portland. my bike started out as his work bike and is my work bike now. my bike became his work bike for a while until he sold it to the girlfriend of another guy, who's using my old bike as his work bike while his is getting powdercoated. it's a fun little story there.

I keep my bikes forever so I haven't had a varied collection...but lately the collecting bug has taken hold.
My first was a Western Auto bike, a coaster brake, fendered, chrome headlamp deal my parents got me for Christmas in 1964 or 1965. Way too big for me, but I learned to ride on that bike, but didn't care too much for it..."banana bikes" were coming into the scene and my bike wasn't "cool".
A Western Auto banana bike, blue with a "cheetah" slick rear tire, red striped tires, black seat with two red racing stripes.
A Shogun road bike...which my cycling friends told me was built by Specialized, but I've never found any info to confirm that. Ex-wife sold it instead of shipping it to me.
Two Specialized mountains, a Rockhopper and a Hardrock comp. The Morgan Hill built RH was sold by the ex also. The HR, Taiwan or China built, bought in 1989 I still have.
Trek 400.
Specialized Allez
Raleigh Roadster 3spd.

well from what i can remember my brother and i used to tinker with some bmx bikes when we were little but i dont ever remember owning any.
bought my first bike when i was 17 or so. it was a Diamondback Viper. i think i sold that.
after that i got another Diamondback bmx but i dont remember the model. that got stolen.
then last year i got an old Shwinn Sprint and converted it to fixed.
then i got a Bianchi road bike and made that my main fixed ride.
the Shwinn i built back up to fixed for a friend in late may this year.
friend passed away mid June. never got to see it or ride it. i still cruise on it.
friends dad gave me one of his GT bmx bikes so i have that to ride on too.
so right now i have 3 bikes and the Bianchi is my main ride. thinking of getting the Shwinn powdercoated.
im itching to get a new frame or just a new whole bike. and im itching to build up more for friends

1) Unknown brand small banana seat bike, with white balloon tyres. Stolen. I still want it back.
2) Some crappy small wheel thing. The freewheel broke, and my dad welded it. First experience of fixed gear!
3) Coventry Eagle 10 speed. Made in England, sent to the USA, ridden by my uncle, sent back to England for me. Orange! Loved it.
4) Puch copy of a Schwinn Stingray, but with 5 speed derailleur. Fantastic!
5) First new bike - Coventry Eagle Kermesse. 531, narrow section alloys, quick release. Stolen. I still want this back too.
6) Clements. Not clear if it was an Ernie Clements, or one of the ones his brother built, but a nice bike. My only bike for years, in fact. Got left in a barn when I went travelling. When I came home, it had gone on a skip.
7) Dual suspension MTB from a chain store. Crap, but I needed a bike. Now has huge wide motorcycle bars on it, but it'll always be too small for me.
8) Gazelle Trim Trophy - back to high quality road bikes. 531, Shimano 105. Bought for £20 from ebay.
9) Nigel Dean road frame, gradually being built up fixed.
10) Falcon Westminster tourer. Got it free. My station/lockup beater.
11) Raleigh Royal - I wanted a tourer, specially for load hauling. Another £20 bike.
12) Mountain bike converted with a banana seat, sissy bar, and huge 24" ape hangers. So cool. Too cool. Stolen.
13) Horace Bates - for restoration......
