I'm going to be in Huntersville next weekend. Any Charlotte-area folks know of a decent group ride, preferably on Sunday?

There is a Sunday morning ride up in the Lake Norman area at 9 am. Not sure about all the details but if you contact Cool Breeze Cyclery, they should be able to set you straight.

Hey guys,
Just getting into the whole bike culture and decided to start by building a decent bike by salvaging parts from old ones. I know a few bike shops in the South Charlotte area (I actually live in Lake Wylie) but I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent place to find used bikes and parts? I know that one of the best ways to do this is yard saleing/Craigslisting but I wanted to see if there was somewhere in the Charlotte area that would be better suited to this.
What is the plantation ride? I live in Ballentyne and do the Waxhaw ride a lot but never heard of the "plantation" ride. I know this is an old thread but thought I'd give it a shot.

Plantation Ride starts at the shopping center parking lot in front of the HT, across from Siskey Y. Every Sunday about 8:30 am. I haven't been in a long while, but I still see them heading in that direction on Sundays. Speed depends upon who shows up.
Plantation ride: 1st group leaves @ 7:30 2nd group @ 8:30. As Serotta stated speed depends on who show's up, with that said the 7:30 group tends to be faster then the 8:30 group.

New to Charlotte. I live in the Mountain Lakes area (NW by 77/485). I'd like to find a few peeps to ride with. I would classify myself in the "B' group currently. PM me if interested.
