Hey Folks,
I'm not sure how I managed to go so many years without coming across this site but I'm here now. :)
I live in Toronto Ontario, and I've loved cycling ever since I learned to ride my first bike (which was an "old crappy girls bike" cause apparently I learned how to ride before I learned to appreciate what was done for me-- turns out I liked it just fine once I learned how to ride it!)
I'm pretty much into anything to do with biking. Road biking, mountain biking, commuting, social rides, sightseeing and building/fixing them. One thing I'm not really into is racing... I've got a couple of flashy race bikes but I just like to go fast on my own terms :) Riding in a peloton would be a neat experience though.
Over the next while I hope to finish my current project bike: a 1982 Miele Uno LS which I intend to convert to fixie. That will include building my first set of wheels. I'm excited to get that done and anxiously await when the budget will allow me to do so. I'm also looking forward to getting a touring rig and trailer and get some multi-day tours in. Hopefully next summer!
I tend to frequent the bike trails along the lake and the spit, so if you see some guy out there with a big moustache be sure to say hi! I'm currently riding a red Cannondale Caad5 most of the time, graciously loaned to me by a friend while my Litespeed is in the shop getting a new head tube welded on (don't get me started on Litespeed's failed integrated headset experiment circa '04-'05  )
Happy riding! I'm sure I'll be around here lots...
