Hey! I am re-discovering the joy of cycling, after modifying a high-end hardtail MTB to a comfort hybrid,
and since I have finally succeeded in quitting smoking, I have a lot of newfound energy to burn, and
cycling is a great way to get back in shape. I am 43 and usually pretty intense when I do something,
so I already find my bike kinda boring, even if it rides much better, with slicks.
I know what bike I would need right now, something like a Trek 7.7fx or something similar, but also thinking maybe I should wait a year or two, just to see where it leads me, I might want to get into
road bikes instead of hybrids. right now a hybrid would make sense since I live a mile away from the "green road" (150 mile section of bike path, gravel/asphalt), and this is where I would want to ride most of the time, but I know a road bike could also handle it.
So, should I wait (and ride a boring bike for a year), or take a chance with the 7.7 and risk that in a couple of years I want to sell it at half the price and get something else...
(I'm just dying to get a new toy, LOL) :D
