planning on getting new vision tech aerobars to upgrade my felt s32. can't decide between the alloy integrated r-bend bar or separate base bar and r-bend clipons. the latter appears to be lighter even with stem and is also cheaper.

any reason why i should get the integrated one?

I don't think the integrated is worth it and it's tough to fit. I have the Vision basebar, with Hed Fliplites very good looking, very light and aerodyamic enough

The R-bends are nice. Light and goooooood looking. The only thing is I'd only ever use them for shorter distance tri's. My wrists start to hurt after a while having them bent downward like that. I should probably train more on the tri bike, but then I start to lose some of the advantages.
I currently have a Profile Wing base bar and the alloy R-bends from Vision, man the Vision products quality is tops.

think i'll go with vision base bar and vision clip-on r-bends then. just need to decide whether the carbon clipons are worth the extra dough...

I thought the carbon premium was waaaayyyy too much. And just about everything I add to that bike has been carbon, but I thought they were just too pricey.

The Hed cliplites I have are lighter and more adjustable than the Vision Carbon Rbends yet the same price.

i found some of the vision carbons for $156 so i got them. i know its a big premium over the alloy ones for negligible weight difference but they look much nicer! and i like the pads a lot on the visions.

i got the vision base bar for only $63 and the vision brake levers for 65 so i'm pretty happy price wise. i even got some new dura ace 7800 front calipers for $50 on ebay, so looking forward to a bit of a revamp when it all arrives!
