Specialized Decibel Helmet

Hello all,
Is there any way to get the chin strap off this helmet? The strap disappears up into the helmet above the ears and I can't see any release. I would like to get the strap off so I can clean it every now and then. Same thing with the liner. Is it simply velcro that is holding it in place or???

Thanks,
Mike

Most helmets have the harness straps glued or other wise fastened permanantly in place to prevent slipping so if you remove them (if you pull hard enough, they will come out ) you will never get them back in.

I periodically clean my helmets by just by washing the entire thing with warm water and mild soap and drying with a towel. Water won't hurt them so don't try to take them apart.

I've got the Decibel, and I'm pretty sure the straps aren't removable, though the lining is indeed just velcroed on. I wash everything at once, though, without removing anything.
