Southern California - SoCal Black/Red Jersey Voting

VOTING HAS ENDED.

Okay, the following are the options for the BLACK/RED JERSERYS ONLY that we are doing FOR SURE (due to high interest). Cast your vote if you think you'll buy one (~$45 + shipping). Each person will have the option later to get race-cut, club-cut, women's-cut, 3/4 zip, full-zip, sleeveless, and/or long-sleeve. Matching shorts, will likely be an option as well.

If you would prefer an alternate color scheme, feel free to indicate so. We may do an alternate color IN ADDITION if there's enough interest - in which case we'd hold another vote after we're done here. But only vote here if there's still a possibility you'd buy one of these.

To keep it simple, I think it's best not to discuss further overall design changes here. Once we finalize a color scheme, we can tweak the design, if needed. I'll try and keep track of everything and tally the votes, updating THIS POST as we go. :)

I would also be up for an alternate color scheme in addition to purchasing #2.

Can you add a poll to this thread? It would probably help you to summarize the results...although I haven't done it in a while so maybe that feature was removed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I considered doing a poll, but think the results would easily get contaminated by non-buyers.

(yeah, I'm not So*Cal, but I will be getting this jersey no matter the final outcome. they are too sweet by far.)

[edit: +1 on Grumpy Pig's thanks below to James for his effort on this. He just popped out that basic design and folks went ga-ga over it, only suggesting minor changes (text or color placement). That's the sign of a great designer! Kudos!]

what about the long sleeve version.... i think that the long sleeve version needs to go next to the short sleeve version.... as they will be matching the SS version.... and how BOTH of them look may make a difference in how people vote.... (for example.... are they really going to vote for long white sleeves?)

So even if it is the white sleeves, you can get the s/s version, as the l/s version offends your fashion sense... :p

I'm torn between #2 and #3. I like that in either case, there's fewer background colors, giving it a simple elegance. I think I currently lean toward #2, but it's a tough call.

Nah, despite what my design aesthetic might suggest, I believe in democracy :p ... (besides we're riggin' the vote anyway, remember?)

If people get confused half as easily as me, adding the L/S variable would get messy. Maybe once the S/S version has been decided, we'll just let YOU decide what the long sleeve scheme will be. :p Seriously, I wouldn't care.

you need to reread what i wrote... i understand we get to choose options... what i'm saying is that you need to see how the long sleeve version of the SS version looks.... before you can vote... cuz say if everyone votes for white short sleeves.... that leaves us with white long sleeves and that's gonna be just nasty to try to keep clean... so in order to get a decent vote... we need to see BOTH versions....

LA_Rider, I agree with you. Even in my January Palomar ride, I found times when it was warm enough I was climbing with short sleeves, zipper partway down, and no arm, knee, or leg warmers. (Of course, come descending time, I was bundled up like crazy. Arm warmers. Leg warmers over knee warmers. Wind jacket. Head/ear covering. In some cases, shoe covers.)
