In Canada we also have a lot of poison ivy (http://www.poison-ivy.org/)

Carry a bottle of Tecnu or something similar. Dissolves the oil and prevents the rash if you use it quick enough.

I like the skin rash hall of fame. Looks like me after I mowed through a patch of poison Ivy a few years ago.
