I have a Raleigh Twenty that I would use more if I could put it in a case -- like a duffel bag.

If you have a bag that fits, could you let me know the specific bag?

Or, failing that, at least the length, width and height measurements? I'm figuring 42 * 27 * 12 but can't find a bag in a store to fit and not sure enough of the sizing to order without a test.

The aim is to be able to take it on the train (on relatively rare instances) or put it on top of luggage in the car without getting other items messed up.

Howdy, Our very own cheg01 has a site for his highly modified Twenty. If you page further down, you will see how he gets it into a 29" oyster suitcase. Here is the link:

Hope that helps,

Thanks. This is impressive, but his Twenty has modifications mine doesn't currently have. The most notable is the folding handlebars -- I've still got the standard ones. It's a bit of a chicken-and-egg situation -- I don't want to spend money on the bike until it looks like I will use it reasonably often, but I won't use it reasonably often unless it's more easily transportable (since I own, uh, 7 other bikes)

Packing like this would be ideal for plane trips or vacation travel, but also looks time-consuming. At the moment, I'm looking for something that would pack faster, but not as well, like a duffel bag.
