I just found out today at the bike show that my old boss, Jim Miele, second owner of Miele Bicycles, passed away on January 12th. I could never get a hold of him and wondered where he was. I found out from a buddy at a store that we dealt with directly. He wasn't feeling well one day and he had a stroke. He never left the hospital. He had a hard time when his bike company, Miele, went bankrupt a few years back. He was very knowledgeable and was probably the best mechanic that I knew.
