Have a Greenspeed GT3. Thinking about adding either a Schlumpf 2 spd. drive or going for the Rohloft 14 spd. internal gear hub. Any preference, suggestions or problems associated with this up-grade on a GT3?

It depends on how many gears you need really. If you have enough
gears that a Schlumpf would make a difference then go that way.
If you need an internal hub then the Rolhoff is the best choice.

If your really want to throw caution to the wind then buy both
for a killer set up if your pockets are deep enough. (Slobber:D )

Yes, both are excellent upgrades! My GTX has a Schlumph Mountain Drive. What a GREAT shifter concept. The Mtn Drive has a 2 1/2 to 1 reduction. This comes in very handy when I pull up the driveway before I can zap the door to open. So there I am, in medium gear, pointed uphill. Wooops. So I just click the Schlumph into granny low. Up into the garage with ease!
As for the Rohloff, I only have a friend who has one on his GTR. And he also has a Schlumph Speed drive. Thats 28 speeds with NO deraileurs,...although there is a tensioner. The Rohloff is interesting to use, as it just keeps twisting and twisting. It does, eventually, reach a stopping point. As for function, it works quite well. My friend likes to trike off road and the no deraileur set up makes for worry free shifting in less than optimum conditions. He has related to me that he would probably prefered to have gotten the Mtn Drive v. the Speed drive. (Speed Drive is a 1:2.5 overdrive, for going VERY fast)

Now if only that Schlumph had 3 positions!?!~ way granny low, direct drive & super overdrive..WEeeeee!

 Appreciate the info. Do not know how deep I can go into the pockets. The big problem is convincing the wife  that I really, really, please can I have it, I really need it. I may:rolleyes: go with both and eliminate the derailler.
