So I have MKS GR-9 pedals and I absolutely love them. However, I'd really like to run double toe straps and the things aren't built for them.
My question:
Are there any pedals out there similar to the GR-9's (narrow platform pedals that work well with soft-soled shoes) that are double-strap compatible? OR, has someone come up with a way to run double-straps on the GR-9's? I know about PowerGrips, but I don't like them.
Thanks. Apologies in advance if this has been discussed previously; couldn't find anything using Google search.

Find a shop that does frame repair and get them to fabricate something for you that'll work w/ the GR-9s?

Good idea, but I'll save it as a last resort. I feel like there's gotta be a pedal out there similar to the GR-9's design that takes double straps. I really just want something that works well with soft-soled shoes and is on the narrow side to help avoid pedal strike.
Cordin to Sheldon, the GR-9 is the last of it's kind

Just skip the GR9's they are fun and easy but so are rectangular MTB pedals. WTB makes some nice ones as do Wellgo. Get the all metals with the greaseport. Or you local shop should have tons of switched out ones.
Just make sure they have routed holes for a second strap, then run is back along the back so it touches the main strap at the top of your foot. zip tie it in place.
Nice.
Also, if you are riding in the city, there is nothing faster than stepping on the open side.
Btw, all this works best with mountian clips, if you need steel SOMA fab's some.
Or just use heavy duty zip ties to mount them in place.
someone recently posted a pic of gr-9's with double straps on 'em. they just put the front strap were there should be eyelets and let them sit there. looked like it worked fine.
