Foo - POLL: What Instant Message System do you primarily use?

Ok....I am asking what IM "system" you use, not client. This is to cover the blowhards who are going to come in and start bragging about using them all with Trillian or Gaim.

I'm not asking what software you use to access it....but what IM system is your main chatting done on (assuming you use it at all).

yahoo...avoid paying long distance with mom :) and saldy keep in touch with work from home:( but there are also the occasionnal people I do like to chat with :)

edit: I guess I actually use MSN more for chatting, but I like the music and features and stuff of Yahoo better.

I have Yahoo, AOL and Gmail/Google chat on the home computer. My laptop is owned by the company and their policy is no IM's:( and I am on my laptop 99% of the time.

At work, we use MSN IM, use it for work related discussions, as well as just BSing during the day

But I aslo use AIM for my friends...

I never really liked instant messaging even when I did it a lot way back in the day. These days I'd rather just tell people to stop bothering me in person or on the phone.

I've come into this kicking and screaming, and have added accounts as friends demand them. My friends in Canada use AIM, friends in China use MSN, and BF friends use Yahoo, so I now find myself with three. I use Fire, an OS X program that lets me check them all. I'm still a bit uncomfortable with IM as a concept, but am slowly coming around to it. That said, in high school I was a rabid ICQ user.

I voted AIM, but I use AIM, MSN, & Yahoo about equally. OK, maybe AIM, Yahoo more than MSN, although the winks in MSN are fun. All are in my profile.

All right, all right -- I love instant messaging! There! I said it!

GAIM. Does yahoo, AIM, msn, etc. in one client.

I use MSN sometimes but I only have two people listed. I'm trying to work out how to get yahoo working etc.(because that is where all the hip people seem to be and I wanna be one too) but I'm a dumb dumb and can't work it out.

Yahoo over here. I'm about to get a universal client so I can yahoo, AIM, and MSN at once.

Of course that might mean I won't EVER get anything done, as I do love my chat.

I started with YIM, but have added people on MSN, AIM & ICQ. I use whichever system they're on. I don't really pay attention to which system it is since I use Trillian to access them all.

Since you all are still talking a bit about clients, I'll tell ya my config.

I run/use Yahoo client because most of my friends are on Yahoo and I have the pay for subscription for Yahoo Music (Launchast) which I play throuhg YIM often.

I do have Trillian however, but I only use it when I have somebody I want to talk to who is on another service like AIM or MSN.

I'd ALWAYS seen it as "sike" when used in THAT connotation. So I figured it was basically a new (made up) word just for that stupid joke that begain back in the 80s.
