Hi to all, great forum. Just want to say hi from S Jersey, then I'll slink back to the 50+ forum. As of tomorrow, I'm two years into that genre. That just doesn't seem right. I better check I gotta be 42, right not 52? Yeh
Always had the typical cheapo dept store MTB and never knew better. My last one was stolen out of my garage, amazingly ran into a slimeball outside a convenience store with it two months later (who said he bought it from a guy for 10 bucks, yeh). He under duress dropped it and ran off, so I got it back albeit trashed. So finally got a decent MTB, my Trek 4500 about 3 months ago. What a difference. This is a nice machine. Just took it back for the free annual service. since cables have stretched, etc. Got it back yesterday, but have been riding the wifes 4300 on the road since rain has dampened the trails.
I typically to do 10- 12 miles jaunts on non-gym days at the local state park, and have put 400+ miles on it so far. Looking for new trails to ride. Now for clipless and a camelback....onward and upward!
