Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - KHS Aero track I got it for 425$ now what sensible upgrade to make

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I know the seller was steep in price at 600$. I talked him down to 425$. I think he probably got a good deal since the bikes retailed for around 650$. This model has the Ararya wheels. I dont think they are half bad. They are heavy and seem solid. The hubset looks rather cheap with the basic Suze version. The bottom bracket is noisy. I will probably change that. I am debating on Sugino, or Phill Wood. The Dura Ace looks pretty good. I want to be able to overhaul the bottom bracket when I can.

Suzue hubs are kind of not great. If you can afford Phils, then do it. They're really heavy but really awesome. Or go with Velocity hubs that run cheaper but are also awesome. IRO Cycle's hubs are Velocity made but with an IRO stamp on them, so if they're cheaper from IRO do that.

what do you mean my sensible? first i would do an overhaul of the entire bike. chances are that it has not been serviced. once you do that you can see what needs to be changed and what doesnt. If you are talking about the khs with the curved seatube i would upgrade the wheelset. I just picked up a khs with the curved tube with the stock wheelset and i switched them right away. wheels do make a difference. if that is to much then maybe get some new tires.

when i finish my khs i will post some pics. Looking for a decent black seatpost in a 26.8 which is kinda difficult
