Thought you guys might like to see my garage, and the back room where bikes live when they've been stripped and are listed on ebay!

The garage currently has 3 Claud Butlers, a Nigel Dean, a JA Holland, a Mercian, a Gazelle, and a Horace Bates amongst everything else.....

The Back Room, with my frame rack, and tubs for other parts, all neatly bagged

And my Packing Materials corner (along with all the boxes you see in the garage)

Wow, and I thought I was bad ;) I only have 3 bikes, and while I may have a stack of random wheels and tires, I do NOT have a stack of frames :) But I have been at it for only about 2 years. Give me some time and I'll have an even bigger collection... muhahaha!

If the misses here didn't function as a brake the situation would be the same here i guess :)

Somehow I am glad I don't have such a collection :)

I gotta think of a better way to store handelbars! The agreement with the Mrs is that complete bikes live in the garage. When I dismantle something to sell, it comes and lives in the house, because the garage is round the back, and if I had to go out there every time somebody asked me for the reach of a stem, or the BCD, or whether I know the way to Amarillo, I'd be mighty tired of it.

What about something similar to what you've done with the frames? Two rods protruding from the wall, you could hang most styles off something like that.

Anyone have a quick and dirty solution to storing wheels in a relatively organized, low-cost and space-saving manner? I have some metal shelf-arms sticking out, but they don't hold too many wheels--hubs get in the way. Some kind of rack or something...

An old gent I know hung some pipe from the ceiling and made some hooks from old clothes hangars, it made for some excelent wheel storage. :)

You guys make me feel like a rank amateur, with 5 road bikes, one road frame, two mountain bikes, and an old 6-drawer dresser full of parts (brake drawer, derailleur drawer, hub and spoke drawer, etc.
