What seats are available for NJS spaced seat rails? I've gotta replace this plastic keirin saddle heheh.

not on the seatpost though.

i have a 44mm railed kashimax, but the only 30mm railed saddles currently available are typically the "keirin" models from Kashimax, et al.

no there is also fujitsu or something like that,
but kashima(x) is the only one i've seen that
is available padded

...which leads me to a question which has plagued
me for awhile. has anyone respaced seat rails?
i mean, it could be done.

edit: fujita is the name of the other company.
sashae had one once on his framebank.

respacing saddle rails is a really bad idea since they usually just fit into slots on the saddle shell. You might be able to get away with it on a brooks or something but it's suicide on anything with a carbon or plastic shell.

Just get a new seatpost.

Yep, Fujita is the other major 30mm railed saddle manufacturer. Good looking saddles, slightly wider in profile than the Kashimas.

sashae can you get any more of those faux crocodile fujita saddles? or any fujita yfc saddle for that matter? They dont seem to sell in the states. Do they come in the 44mm rail variety as well? I need one really bad.

i thought Fujita stopped production, I was discussing in the terms of what is readily available to the US public.

that Fujita is nice for sure - but it is the only one I have seen for sale in these parts

You shoulda seen the "watermelon" pattern one I almost picked up... light green with dark green stripes.

If people are interested, I can probably pick up a few more. They're slightly more padded and less of an ass hatchet than the Kashimas...

Well sasha, if you do get more, definitely let me know. I can always make a trip down there to check them out in person.

On a side note, the bike I'm speaking of is 100% japanese components. If I get a different seat post, do any japanese manufacturers make a yellow saddle? Thanks!

Kashimax aeros are the most comfortable saddle ever, no joke.
I wish I could find one with the leather cover though, the cover on mine is dying and held together with electrical tape at this point.

i know I'm digging up an old thread. but does anyone know what the rail width is of kashimax aero BMX saddles??
I know they use the same NJS plastic shell, so I figure they're probably 30mm..anyone know for sure?
