put the wheel back on the bike and ride it. hope you have front brakes. do a skid, the cog should come right off.

Just wrap in the opposite direction that you would rotafix a cog on, and turn in the opposite direction.

Given their track record I would avoid getting any advice from the Fisso kids.
Just get on the bike and pedal backwards reeaaaaal hard.

yeah that would work but i dont have a brake and i dont feel like busting my nuts on the top tube when the chain falls off

at the NACCC last year in portland i needed to remove a stuck cog with no time to spare before the races... i tried that bit where i removed the lockring and skidded down a giant hill. it didn't work. it must have softened it up though, i was able to remove it with the whip after that. score. wear a helmet. and have a friend film it.

Protect the cog and clamp it in a bench vise if you have one. Plenty of leverage to remove the cog in my opinion.

It should come off w/ the reverse of the method I linked to. Nevermind the naysayers; 60% of the time it works every time.

skid on a street with little to no traffic and when it breaks loose just put your foot on the rear tire like people do when they were kids. if it doesnt break it completely loose it will happen like RedMenace said.

had the same problem with a stuck cog. finally took a hug pipe wrench and carefully wrenched it off. i would only do this as a last resort.

reverse rotafix works every time and is much safer than all this bull**** (except the vice thing). perhaps a cheater bar on the chainwhip mihgt work too

how is rotafix on paint?

put a rag or a sock around the BB shell and maybe the chain stay too. evrytime i switch a cog i rotafix it off. so simple. never have i scratched my pretty pretty paint. i handle that by wrecking.
