Hello,

Five days until my first tour. Aberdeen, WA to the Golden Gate Bridge. Should be fun. I'm sure that I will have questions to ask before I leave, this is the first. I am using Schwalby Marithon 26" x 1.5 tires. They say that the low is 45 & the high is 100 psi. I have been riding them at 85. My bike loaded should be about 75 pounds, and I weigh 220. What tore pressure do you think I shoudl run?

Hi,
when you get the bike loaded, ride down the street a few feet and look down.
If either tire is bulging pump it up until it's round.

Since you are carrying a large load, i would run the tires at 100 psi.

they should have a small bulge. 1/4" to 1/2" each side is ok.
