Sunday, September 17, 2006 Ride Start: 7 - 9 a.m.
Cedarburg High School fieldhouse entrance
W68 N611 Evergreen Blvd.
Cedarburg , WI

Distances: 11, 16, 30, and 62 miles

Ozaukee County - 11 and 16 miles rides are mostly flat, 30 and 62 fairly hilly. One good hill on the 30 I coasted to 47mph on mtb tires last year... boy was that fun! Well supported ride, and the Cedarburg Wine & Harvest festival runs the same day - just a few blocks away.

Hope to see some BF members there:)

I have this one penciled on the calendar. Mmmm, wine fest too?? Sounds like great planning. Im trying to talk my wife and friend (new to road biking) into going too.

I loved the 30 miler last year and look forward to the 62 this year. Last year's 30 was one of the nicest mixes of hills and flats I've seen - and through lovely countryside, too. The Wine & Harvest Festival is a great bonus as Cedarburg is a fun little town even without.

The online deadline for registration (http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1322798) is on 9.11.06, although last year it didn't look too horribly crowded at the on site registration table.

It's looking good until noon weatherwise. Anybody else planning on riding the 100k/62mi?

I did the 62 mile (actually 61), nice ride, other than the downpour at a bit after 7am! Only snag was my rear tire sidewall blew out (literally) w/3 miles to go. WOW-scary, lucky I was only going about 18mph instead of 35mph on some of those hills. I limped myself back with a half inflated tire/spare tube. Now-new tire time. FYI-I will not buy Hutchinson Top Speeds again-only approx 1k miles on them, they are in terrible shape.
