hey, if anyone's got some 140 bcd chainrings... I got some super maxy cranks from Ben, without knowing their bcd... oops! haha useless... it's ok though, because I realized today that I don't need them because I've got more bikes than I know what to do with!

Speaking of which, do 1/8" 135bcd chainrings even exist? I ask because I'm a goddamned Kender and couldn't resist the shiny grey Centaur cranks. I went all "oooooooh" and everything when I saw them, and now I'm riding around on a 10s chainring (it was pretty) and a 3/32" cog (it was cheap) with a 1/8" pink KMC chain (and, well, this was pretty too).

Wrt to Super Maxy cranks, I wouldn't use 'em for a fixie if they're the kind with a seperate spider and crank arm. Not of the highest quality and their stupid bcd will just disappoint IMHO.

Get a TA 135 BCD chainring anything from a 44T to a 56T they're pretty hardcore rings, get rid of that 3/32 as well, otherwise your chain will jump off the sprocket when you don't want it to.
TA sometimes also do colours, maybe you could match with the chain, then it would be a big "OOOOOOH"

my personal experience of TA 1/8 track rings is that they're often significantly out of round which makes adjusting the chain tension a real pain in the arse. I've got one myself on my road fixed that's dodgy, and have two other club mates with the same problems. These are all 144bcd rings, but I suspect their quality control is dodgy throughout the range.

SkunkCycling, I've been pretty lucky so far with the 3/32" cog, I picked it up because it was $2 and I wanted to fool with my gear ratio before investing in an EAI or a Surly cog. I've got good chain line though and I'm pretty anal about keeping an eye on my chain tension.
