First of all, thank you James for your time and effort you've invested in designing of the jersies these past few days. I feel somewhat uncomfortable now that what was supposed to be a fun design and color selection process has now turned into somewhat of a complicated situation. And I'm sure James and others feel the same. I think we should all blame ourselves for suggesting other color combination options which eventually strayed away from the original idea of a mostly black/stealth image we had in our minds. The voting process complicated matters further, IMO.
It is my opinion that, regardless of the vote outcome, we should think about just going ahead with #2 as this was basically what the original "designers" had in mind.
Therefore, I would like to suggest a little cooling off period for the time being so we can all enjoy this holiday weekend ahead of us and open our discussion again next week.:)

In the meantime James, please don't commit harakiri......:p

Harakiri? The seaweed seasoning?

Agreed with Fixer.

Since no one is really committed to handing the ordering procedures, I can do it. I used a pretty efficient method that worked pretty well for the national jersey.

Let me know, are we still going with Champ sys?

Were they timely in their response to you? James had issues just getting sizing samples sent out.

Yep, in fact, they sent me the proofs already (3 business days). I asked for a few changes to make it look more like the original, and am waiting for the 2nd proofs to share with those who ordered.

You mean Seppuku?

All kidding aside, James thanks for the hard work. Let me buy you a drink!

Cheers to James!

Let's all have a few of our favorite imbibables this weekend. It's still summer, so might I suggest one of the following:

A nice chilled glass of Riesling
A vodka/lemonade on the rocks
A dang-near freezing can of PBR.

Enjoy!

(oh yeah... thanks for the killer design, James!)

Let's vote on James' free drink!

James should be awarded any free (alcoholic) drink, the only stipulation being that he drinks a minimum of 10!

Can I send away for some free samples of said drink(s) so we can decide on which size drink he'll need?

You know I'm a flyweight. 2 drinks, and things are happy... 4, and I'm under the table!

No harakiri for me. I've got a BBQ to host on Monday!

Seriously, I appreciate the... appreciation. It probably comes as a surprise, but my take on this is different. I have no problem with multiple jersyes, if that's what folks want. Likewise, I have no problem if we only want one. Personally, if I can get 2 or 3 designs I like, I'm buying them all. I think getting input from everyone made this project unique -> and better than those other guys ;) .

All I'm sayin is, don't worry about me. I do this sort of thing for a living, and it's not a problem at all. I'm glad I can help out, and I think my job will be easy, compared to the order takers/shippers.

I hope there doesn't have to be any shipping. Let's just meet for a ride and everyone can get their jerseys :)

My fellow Southern California Bikeforum members:

Although I voted for #3 I'm willing to accept that #2 won. Although there may or may not have been some voting irregularities (sp?), for the sake of So Cal BF unity I call on all those members who want a jersey to unite solidly behind chimivee and worker4youth and move on to the next phase: getting the jerseys ordered and delivered. You guys let me know what you need and let me know what I can do to help.

United, we can show the world that we can rise above our differences and do what's best for the greater good.

Thank you and God bless SoCal Bikeforums.

(end patriotic music)

I already sent money to Paul(worker4youth) for the BF jersey (which honestly look like **** now compared to the SoCal). I'm totally cool if he wants to do it.

The jerseys were canceled. We’re trying valve caps instead - but can’t agree on size & color. ;)
