i took my brother on his first century (my first tandem century) a few weeks ago here in southern california -- cool breeze century. nice ride, from ventura up into santa barbara area and back. about 4000ft of climbing. perfect weather. great lunch. excellent popsicles at the last stop.
we both had pretty sore bottoms -- not used to seated riding for so long. but finished not totally exhausted and definitely looking forward to future rides!

Looks like you guys had fun, great job. :D Keep doing it and pretty soon the long rides will be no problem what so ever for you. Also it gets a little easier on the bottom, but thats all part of the game.
Take Care, :)
